She became a member of the Council of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and co-chaired the prominent “Restore America Gala” at the Library of Congress. Her service includes time as a Trustee for Oatlands Plantation and contributing to the U.S. Commission for America’s Heritage Abroad. Her hands-on restoration work includes revitalizing a historic Virginia farmhouse and restoring an Embassy Row mansion in Washington, D.C., which was later acquired by the Embassy of Estonia.
Her love for genealogy and historical lineage deepened her involvement with prestigious societies. She has served as the Recording Secretary for the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and chaired its heraldry committee.
